VACANCY
A vacancy exists for a
Buyer in the Lounge Division of Bravo Brands based in Isithebe.

The Buyer will be responsible for ensuring the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management.

Identifies manufacturing needs, identifies, and selects suppliers, negotiates contracts, and arranges delivery. Purchases a high volume and variety of parts, equipment, services, and materials.

Qualifications required.

Minimum Grade 1
Relevant Procurement and Supply Qualification

Experience required.

Minimum 5 years proven experience in a senior buying position
Furniture industry experience would be an advantage
Fabric buying experience
Knowledge of imports buying
Knowledge of Rebate stores management and compliance would be an advantage

Key Responsibilities

Accurate and defined Imports/ customs processing, duty structures and import costing
Timeous open account payments
Accurate stock forecasting
Oversee management of the Rebate Stores and ensure compliance
Procurement of Fabrics/ Mechanisms/ Seaming against Forecast
Ensure accurate and timeous purchasing of all materials at the required quantity/ correct price and within the specified lead time.
Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
Accurate capturing of orders
Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
Effectively expedite and maintain stock levels.
Ensure rebate stock is entered into rebate book
Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements
Undertake research on and evaluate existing and new suppliers
Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues
Ensure accurate and proper price increase records
Assess and confirm that Fabric and Raw Materials are tested / approved in accordance with company standards
Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
Prepare precise fabric reports
Deliver briefs, updates and reports as and when required
Develop creative and innovative procurement processes
Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
Effectively handle and resolve queries relating to shortages and poor quality with urgency
Interact with sales executives and provide effective feedback
Explore alternate sources for goods and materials
Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
