Requirements for Head Guide

Minimum of 2 years senior guide experience at a 4/5 star establishment (Essential)
Previous assistant head or head guide experience (Highly Beneficial)
NDT Registered
FGASA NQF 4 essential
Full Trails Qualification
Valid First Aid Certificate
ARH and Rifle proficiency
SAPS Competency Certificate
Computer Literate
Driver's License and Pr-DP

Requirements for Lodge Anchor

A relevant tertiary qualification in either Management or Hospitality (Beneficial)
At least2years Hospitality experience in a Supervisory role (Essential)
In depth understanding of 4/5 star lodge operations, especially Food and Beverage, Front of house, Duty management and Hosting(Essential)
Excellent Customer Relations and must love to host guests
Fluent in MS Office, MS Word & MS Excel
Professional and well groomed
Driver's license essential
RSA Nationals will be given preference

Description for Head Guide

Monitor, manage and assume responsibility of the guiding department
Evaluate, mentor and train staff
Provide leadership, guidance and counselling to team members
Follow all procedures for maintaining the overall operation of the Guides and Safari department, including individual, family & kids' safari experiences, Safety, excellent Guest and Staff relations, Hosting of Guests and all equipment, vehicles and assets
Perform all Field Guide functions according to the standards of FGASA, including Guest introductory and Safety orientations, Guided game drives and interpretive bush walks, tracking, identification of spoor, delivering informative lectures on relevant ecological topics, drink Stops and other bush events.

Ensure lodge guest experience levels are met and maintained.
Fill in for Lodge Manager when required.
Be readily available to deal with all guest queries and complaints.
Ensure Front Desk complete administration accurately and according to Standard Operating Procedures
