    Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Financial Reporting and Shared Services to join our esteemed team at an international mining company based in Sandton, Johannesburg.

    • Meet all monthly, quarterly, and year-end deadlines for financial reporting.
    • Manage the external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Provide quarterly board reports highlighting key financial performance indicators.
    • Ensure accurate accounting and compliance with DMRE regulations for decommissioning and restoration projects.
    • Develop financial models for impairment and corporate finance purposes.
    • Create business plan forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Design and deliver technical training programs for the finance department to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Oversee the Shared Services and AP teams to maintain good relationships with business partners and support the organization's goals.

    Experience and Qualification Requirements:

    • Hold a Certified Accountant (CA) designation from South Africa.
    • Have 5-10 years of post-article experience in a finance management role, preferably in the mining industry.
    • Proven experience in preparing financial statements and managing budgets.
    • Familiarity with SAP and Caseware software is required.
    • Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Able to work effectively as part of a team, think creatively, and drive innovation.
