We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Developer capable of overseeing multiple server environments, automating builds and deployments, and providing system security measures, Remote in SA


Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor Linuxbased servers or virtual machine environments
• Develop and maintain docker images and containerbased virtualization
• Implement and ensure system security standards (firewalls, network)
• Automate build and deployment procedures
• Conduct database administration on GemStone
• Write scripts in Python, Ruby, and Bash
• Use Git for version control
• Manage continuous integration tasks with Jenkins
• Handle configuration management using Chef

Qualifications:

• At least an Honours degree (or 4 years equivalent) in software focused discipline
• Experience with Linux (Ubuntu), Docker, Nginx, and GemStone
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Ruby, and Bash
• Experience in continuous integration with Jenkins
• Knowledgeable in network and firewall security
• Skills in system design to handle complex problems
