    About the Financial Accountant Role

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Review of Cashbooks for the Group
    2. Preparation of Projected Monthly/Weekly Cashflows
    3. Preparation and Review of Journals
    4. Preparation and Review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations
    5. Compilation and Review of Monthly Management Accounts
    6. Preparation of Audit Packs and Oversight of External Audit
    7. Assistance in Preparation and Review of Annual Financial Statements
    8. Preparation of Annual Budgets
    9. Preparation of Tax Comparisons and Review of Tax Returns
    10. Review of VAT workings
    11. Liaison with Tax Practitioners and Resolution of Tax Matters
    12. Liaison with Internal Auditors and Assistance with Queries
    13. Review and Update of Systems Descriptions and Standard Operating Procedures
    14. Review of Processes and Implementation of Improvements
    15. Review of System-Generated Transactions and Reports
    16. Support with Stock Takes
    17. Review of Selected Tasks Performed by Branch Admin Managers
    18. Review and Verification of Fixed Assets Register

    Requirements:

    1. Grade 12
    2. Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting (or Similar Qualification)
    3. Completed Articles
    4. Minimum 3 Years Experience in a Similar Role
    5. Excellent Literacy in Accounting Software
    6. Working Knowledge of ERP Software Packages (SAP, Syspro, Accpac, Kerridge etc)
    7. Advanced Excel Skills

    Remuneration:

    R30,000 to R33,000 (Total Cost to Company - Basic Salary Only)
