    The Clicks Group Limited is a leading health and beauty retailer in South Africa, and we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Shop Assistant Cashier.

    Job Description

    We are looking for a skilled and efficient individual to assist with point of sale operations, maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise, and ensure the safe handling of cash at all times.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the Clicks' clubcard, enrolling new members, and making customers aware of promotions to positively affect sales. They will also provide superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador and being visible and offering a friendly and professional service.

    In addition, they will efficiently execute and maintain all merchandising and general housekeeping duties according to store and visual merchandise standards.

    The ideal candidate will have basic maths calculations skills, retail/FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions principles, knowledge of stock management procedures, and customer service excellence.

    They will possess strong planning and organizing skills, problem-solving skills, strong customer orientation, relating and networking skills, following instructions and procedures, delivering results and meeting customer expectations, working with people, persuading and influencing, planning and organizing, coping with pressures and setbacks.

    Desirable experience includes a customer-facing role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment, while desirable education includes Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level.
