JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:
BMW/MINI Master Technician


As a BMW Master Technician, you will play a vital role within our aftersales function delivering an outstanding customer experience in an exciting role overseeing a team of technicians of whom you will be expected to manage, train and guide whilst still having the ability to be hands-on when required.


Reports to:
Director of Operations - Barbados

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Inspecting, analysing and troubleshooting cars.
  • Reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals.
  • Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations.
  • Writing reports.
  • Providing time and material cost estimates before starting a job.
  • Repair brake and steering systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronics systems.
  • Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
  • Repair engine cooling systems and Air Conditioning Systems.
  • Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar regulated vehicle examinations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • To fulfill other responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Adhere strictly to all franchise service, housekeeping, security, safety, code of conduct, uniform standards, operating practices and other rules and policies developed or amended from time to time.
  • Develop and maintain a team working relationship based on mutual respect for other employees

Requirements:


  • Certified Diagnostic Technician or Master Technician for BMW.
  • Performed repairs on BMWs in a registered dealership for at least 5 years.
  • Trained in BMW service standards
  • Knowledge of S Gate, use of diagnostic tools ICOM and BMW portals.
  • Supervised a workshop or team for at least one year.
  • Comprehensive use of Windows Office, Automotive DMS.
  • Understanding of the warranty process.
  • Strong electrical knowledge.
  • A driver's license.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
R40, R55,000.00 per month


Experience:


  • Performed repairs on BMWs in a registered dealership: 5 years (required)
- supervised a workshop or team: 1 year (preferred)

- electrical: 2 years (preferred)


License/Certification:

  • Certified Diagnostic Technicia/Master Technician for BMW (required)
