We are seeking a talented Junior Software Engineer to join our team in a rotation between Midrand, Menlyn, Rosslyn, and home office. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in software development.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing frontend solutions using HTML, JS, and other technologies
• Implementing re-usable code logic and ensuring it is readable, extendable, and scalable
• Polishing frontend behavior to ensure a great user experience
• Ensuring exceptional quality in client-side applications
• Reviewing and presenting proposed system solutions to IT Project Managers/Leaders and users
• Developing systems solutions that meet quality and delivery requirements
• Executing steps in the Development Cycle, including preparation of technical documentation, system testing, implementation, and audits

Technical Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• NodeJS, S3, ECS (Fargate), AWS RDS, AWS MSK, and AWS CloudWatch
• Back-end skills, including strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements
• Desired qualifications include a degree in IT or relevant experience

Essential Skills

The successful candidate will possess:

• Strong skills in Typescript, Node.js, OpenAPI, Angular 5+, HTML 5, CSS (SCSS), AJAX & REST, JSON & XML, and relational database management (POSTGRES, SQL)
• JAVA skills are beneficial but not required

• S3, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Fargate (ESC), Serverless Architecture, Jenkins, Confluence/Jira, HR Services, Recruitment & Selection
