    Delivering Exceptional Customer Experiences in Deli

    At Pick n Pay Supermarkets, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deli Co-ordinator to join our team. This key role will be responsible for guiding and supporting Deli Managers to drive sales and promotions, while enhancing the overall customer offering and instore experience.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability in the Deli department.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of Deli standards, key drivers, and desired outcomes.
    • Collaborate with store management to identify areas for improvement and implement contingency plans to close performance gaps.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market knowledge, and competitor analysis to inform business decisions.
    • Drive production planning and margin analysis to ensure optimal inventory levels and pricing.
    • Lead by example, providing coaching and training to department managers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Conduct regular quality checks and audits to maintain high standards of product display and quality.

    A successful Deli Co-ordinator will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with store teams and stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Matric Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in Deli management or a related field.
    • In-depth knowledge of Deli in-store processes and procedures.
    • Excellent understanding of Deli instore operations and customer needs.
    • Retail Management Diploma (advantageous).
    • Valid South African ID and driver's license.

    Competencies required include leading teams, customer centricity, sound administration, and problem-solving skills.
