Professor

Doctoral degree in Public Administration and Management or Municipal Administration or relevant with an undergraduate degree
At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field
At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book and book publication
Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters/ Doctoral students

Associate Professor

Doctoral degree in Public Administration and Management or Municipal Administration or relevant with an undergraduate degree
At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field

At least 10 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book and book publication
Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters/ Doctoral students

Senior Lecturer

Doctoral degree in Public Administration and Management or Municipal Administration or relevant with an undergraduate degree
At least 5 years teaching experience at tertiary institution, or 7 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
At least five (5) publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals

Duties

The incumbent will teach functional areas of Public Administration and Management or Municipal Administration including the following: Policy and Policy Analysis, Research Methodology, Ethics and Accountability, Municipal Service Delivery, Financial Management, Developing Leadership, Human Resource Management, International Public Administration and other modules in the Department for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
S/he will be responsible for curriculum development and compilation of teaching portfolios, supervision of research at postgraduate level and publishing in accredited journals.
Conducting communitybased research and the execution of community and training projects as well as assisting in academic administration
