My client near Pietermaritzburg is currently looking for a suitably qualified persons for the position of Recruitment Officer in the Human Resources Department.

Ideally you should reside in Pietermaritzburg._

The position reports to the Talent & Development Manager. The successful incumbent will provide support for talent attraction, strategic sourcing, acquisition, assessment and onboarding. He/she will support the achievement of talent needs of the business today and in the future.


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Support the implementation of the standard recruitment and assessment processes, which are components of the Talent Management Framework, to enhance business performance.
  • Partner with external psychologists to understand assessment results for recruitment and / or development decisions (note: interpretation can only be done by qualified psychologists)
  • Proactively attracts, sources & selects talent i.e., permanent & nonpermanent.
  • Develop, network and maintain successful relationships with external recruitment agencies to ensure the best talent
  • Ensure recruitment and assessment data integrity for successful functional excellence reviews, reporting requirements and confidentiality compliance requirements
  • Ensure recruitment process compliance aligned to legislative and good practice ethical requirements
  • Ensure assessment compliance aligned to legislative and HPCSA ethical requirements
  • Develop onboarding process and partner with Line Mangers, L&D, HRBP's to ensure successful implementation for new employees
  • Trains and coaches managers on Talent Management principles, processes recruitment, onboarding, use of psychometrics (which external psychologists), etc
  • Oversees compliance to best practice recruitment process and practices
  • Ensures that key vacancies are filled within agreed timeframe
  • Drive initiatives related to Employee Value Proposition
  • Promote and adhere to company procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ,
  • Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Degree (HR, Organisation Psychology, Business)_

Minimum 3 years HR experience_

  • Impressive, demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s), at a similar level. Recruitment agency experience will be an advantage.
  • Must be in tune with current labour market trends
  • Must have excellent level of professionalism and business acumen
  • Leverage sourcing technology i.e. erecruitment, job boards, LinkedIn, etc.
  • A high level of computer literacy (MS Office packages)
  • Valid driver's license (Code 8 / B)

Salary:
R360,000.00 per year
