We are urgently looking for a competent Nursing Services Manager to join our Evergreen Health team.


What does the job entail?

  • Effective management of all areas of the care centre, subacute, frailcare, and memory care, as well as the village nursing team.
  • Lead the Nursing/Care staff to perform optimally and ensure that the care facility performs as an economically viable business and meets the needs of residents in care.
  • Work together with the Managing Director of Evergreen Health, Village Manager, Nursing Manager, Care Manager and Village Sister to ensure the Village provides an integrated service to all residents.
  • Ensure that our delivery of care is always based on nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluations to meet the resident's needs.
  • Abide by SANC, Scope of Practice, in relation to professional nursing practice and behaviour.
  • Set protocols, guidelines, procedures and ensure adherence to SANC professional standards, remaining current on professional rules and regulations;
  • Promote clinical governance and service improvements through the analysis of complaints, adverse events and other change drivers;
  • Provide visible and accessible leadership creating a climate where individuals understand their roles and responsibilities and people are empowered be effective in their role;
  • Responsible for maintaining standards and cleanliness;
  • Monitor and manage risk, investigate and act on complaints;
  • Promote standards and behaviours/ approaches so that all concerns raised are dealt with appropriately;
  • Ensure that staff maintain accurate and contemporaneous records;
  • Ensure appropriate care via individualized care plans;
  • Forms positive stakeholders;
  • Adherence to health and safety policy;
  • Responsible to develop staff and maintaining clinical standards within the unit;
  • Oversee the allocation of staff and their duties appropriately;
  • Ensure appropriate infection control protocols are in place;
  • Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency and the ability to comprehend its impact on work/unit responsibilities Excellent leaderships quality, sound decision making and problemsolving skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, with the ability to function well under pressure;
  • Knowledge of human resources, financial management;
  • Effective Management of the Centre Care and village nurses.
W
hat are the minimum requirements?

  • SANC registration as a registered nurse and a post basic qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a nursing management capacity unit manager or higher.
  • Excellent leaderships quality, sound decision making and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of human resources, financial management.
