    The Area Vice President Sales leader will be responsible for setting and executing Salesforce's strategy, building out and leading the sales organization in Africa. This person will serve as a key executive leader in the sales organization.

    This individual will be accountable for creating an organization recognized for its strong Salesforce culture, commitment to Salesforce values, and an ability to drive growth across the Salesforce clouds in Enterprise and Mid Market segment.

    In addition, the Area Vice President will serve as a strong Business Leader, a Customer Partner and a Talent Multiplier with a personal drive and commitment to both understand and successfully navigate a fast-growing, global company striving towards continued growth in an evolving marketplace.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Lead and build the sales organization in Africa, driving its success through strategic planning and execution.
    2. Implement a scalable operating model, driving go-to-market execution and pipeline generation initiatives supported by strong cross-functional collaboration and execution.
    3. Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the sales organization.
    4. Develop and execute an aggressive customer acquisition strategy to generate significant annual growth in revenue and bookings.
    5. Maintain key customer relationships and develop strategies for expanding the company's customer base.
    6. Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting to inform business decisions.
    7. Oversee the sales process, establishing appropriate metrics for sales funnel management and driving consistent growth across multiple segments, geographies, and industries.

    Requirements:

    1. Prior experience in software and/or applications sales, preferably in a CRM, ERP, or B2B SW company, with a focus on selling to CxO level executives.
    2. C-suite level resources aligned with Regional Vice Presidents, Account Executives, and internal leadership teams to present a unified front and represent a single vision for customers.
    3. Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization, establishing strong relationships across functions with operational and analytical abilities.
    4. Leadership experience in strategic sales, preferably in Africa or Emerging Markets.
    5. A track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing enterprise sales teams in Africa.
    6. Enterprise sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple software offerings.
    7. A proven track record of building satisfied, loyal, and referenceable customers.
    8. Experience selling cloud-based enterprise applications is highly desirable.
    9. A history of consistently overachieving quota and revenue goals.
