Type of Contract:
fixed term ending 30 September 2024


Main purpose of the job The incumbent will be responsible for the execution of HR administrative functions for the organisation.


Key performance areas - Provide HR payroll administrative support e.g. retrieve staff information, data from payroll system and employee files - Organize and Maintain employee files - Accurate record keeping - Leave Management - Assisting the Payroll Officers with related tasks including providing relevant employee information - Completion of HR documents e.g. UIF forms for maternity cases and Exiting employees - Completion of maternity leave letters - Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, - Maintaining accurate information on the shared drive/online platform and storing of various approved standard templates. - Liaising with recruiters/HR officers on any administrative support required - Assist employees with HR related queries and requests - Assist with Employee Onboarding set up - Collation of Professional Body registration - Prepare, manage and store paperwork for HR - Any other duties assigned applicable to role.


Required minimum education and training o Grade 12 /Matric Certificate. o Certificate or Diploma in Human Resource Management.


Minimum work experience o Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in an Administration role in Human Resources


Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities o Experience working in a donor funded organization / NGO or project-based environment o Previous experience and knowledge of the Human Resources function in an NGO environment will be an advantage o Competent in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, Excel o Knowledge of maintaining employee confidential information o Excellent time management skills o Excellent organizational skills o Excellent written and verbal communication skills o Strong administrative skills o Proficiency in English and other local languages spoken in the district o Professional, customer focused, pro-active, friendly, tactful, helpful, non judgemental and caring empathetic attitude o Resourcefulness, personal initiative and assertiveness o Ability to work under pressure and in a diverse environment o Ability to work independently in a resource limited setting, as well as in a team environment o Attention to detail o Self-motivated with high regard for excellence, work ethic, values and integrity o Available to commence work immediately
