Job Summary

To develop tactical strategy and delivery plans, formulate associated practice/s and to ensure operational implementation and adoption i.t.o. credit risk management methodology, practice, governance and delivery objectives.


Job Description:


Accountability:
Delivery on Change Initiatives - 80%

  • The Change Manager is responsible for prioritisation of work across a Credit portfolio to ensure the optimal stakeholder delivery given limited resources. The Change Manager is expected to balance short term vs strategic implementation and take both local team vs Africa firm imperatives into account. Robust challenge is also required to ensure adequate Return on Investment from all Change initiatives. The Change Manager will be responsible for building a Business Case to garner funds for future initiatives.
  • The Change Manager will work with the Credit SME, stakeholders and a team from Risk IT (including Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Developer) to deliver the change.

Accountability:
Determine the Risk Architecture for Risking - 10%

  • Deliver a forward looking system and data architecture that provides require functionality while minimising total cost of ownership both within the department and across the group.
  • The credit risking data and systems architecture needs to support required functionality at the lowest possible total cost of ownership, and it is the Change Manager's responsibility to architecture decisions (in conjunction with IT and business owners). The Change Manager is responsible for determining the local Target Operating Model, leveraging and aligning with global Strategic Architecture as appropriate, and ensuring that Change initiatives are done in reference to this.

Ensure robust governance on projects - 10%

  • Ensure adequate control over project and system framework
  • Ensure compliance with Absa governance requirements
Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
