Job Advert Summary:
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric,
- National Diploma, safety & security qualifications would be advantageous
- Business English: Fluent
- Computer literacy (Intermediate)
- Code 08 Driver's license/own vehicle
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform Safety and Loss Control functions
- Contribute to curbing theft, damages & losses
- Conduct inspections & risk assessments with security services and implement improvements
- Control of access to site ( staff, contractors & visitors)
- Investigate incidents and compile reports
- Conduct adhoc investigations (e.g. vehicle accidents, theft, damages & losses)
- Monitor security systems (e.g. fences, gates, alarm systems, access control, CCTV)
- Coordinate safety aspects in line with OHS Act
- Assist with the management of certain site services (e.g. Security services, CCTV, taxi service providers, garden services)
- Management of Bestime access control system (staff & contractors, take on access, removal of exits, updates and reporting of faults and & follow up)
- Control of Keys and key register
- Liaise with local law enforcement regarding SAPS security clearance
- Assist with & participate in emergency response drills
- Assist with weekly sprinkler and quarterly alarm tests
- Control of Lockers (food & clothing)
- Standby duties after normal hours
- Travel offsite
