    Overview

    The role of the IT Asset Coordinator is to perform the daily tasks relating to the management of software and technology-related hardware within the Omnia. This includes monitoring and recording software licenses and/or hardware assets to ensuring the compliance with vendor contracts. The role is to assist in monitoring business unit compliance to approved, administration of the central asset management system and allocation

    Qualifications


    • Matric or NQF level 5

    • NQF Level 5 qualification in Business Administration or Information Technology

    Experience


    • 2-3 years' experience in a IT Asset coordinating role or similar environment.

    • Knowledge of IT end-user equipment.

    • Knowledge of software.

    • Ability to resolve IT asset related calls within the agreed SLA time.

    • In-depth asset management knowledge.

    • Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision

    Duties


    • Perform the daily tasks relating to the management of software and technology related hardware within the organisation.

    • Inventory assets – Create and maintain a detailed inventory of all IT assets.

    • Tracking - Tracking via an asset management tool. Monitor IT assets through their lifecycle keeping a close eye on things like contract, license, and warranty expiration.

    • Manage the central asset management system and allocation of software licenses across Omnia.

    • Maintenance – Manage the maintenance involved with asset repair, upgrade, and replacement.

    • Track all maintenance activities in an ITAM tool so that the data can be used to understand the overall performance of the asset.

    • Monitor and record software licenses and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.

    • Perform inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets and record all findings, changes, physical location, and incidences of support.

    • Financial Planning - Determine the budget needed to maintain or improve the "levels of service".

    • Ensure disposed of assets are managed in accordance with information security standards
