Purpose of the role

lead the marketing development strategy, its implementation, and execution.

The overall strategic brand development and operational management of the marketing plan in line with the Responsible for developing, overseeing the implementation of campaigns that will integrate advertising, PR, sales, and social media marketing plus eventing where necessary.

Job description


Brand and product identity management:


Being the custodian of the Primedia Studio brand as well as the identity of all our product/offerings / shows as well as those of the broadcast platforms and ensuring that all marketing messages are consistent and reinforce brand positionings, tone and manner plus look and feel.

Responsible for the brand and marketing function for Primedia Studios and the Products / Shows on offer.
Campaign management
Oversee the implementation of all product offerings, working closely with Trade Marketing, Broadcasting Platforms, Leveraging the power of both the broadcasting platforms and production houses to implement scaleable marketing strategies and plans, including but not limited to internal and external brand campaigns, events (both physical and virtual), digital marketing, PR, above, below the line marketing activities and events
Identification of PR and Social Media opportunities where Presenter's social Power and status can be leveraged for the enhancement of the brand
Ability to understand, operationalise and implement the Company's brand strategies and related strategic plans at an operational level
Work in close association with the other Primedia brands and platforms to produce and implement roll out of brand campaigns to drive audience acquisition and profitability
Work collaboratively in association with the relevant Primedia Group Resources; production, digital and support departments
Budget management
Accountable for the brand Marketing and Activations budgets as well as adherence to budgets constraints
Track and report on budgets on a regular basis
Revenue performance
Partner with Sales Teams to develop sponsorship models and programmes to assist in the commercialization of brand properties
To assist in generating revenue through proactive support of the sales team through a collaborated effort in the development and implementation of trade marketing strategy
Topline overview in the understanding revenue performance on the brands and products on offer
Stakeholder relationship management
To proactively develop and manage key partners/stakeholders that give the relevant brand a competitive advantage (Clients, Media, Promoters; Strategic partners; Local government; Influencers; Celebrities etc.)
Build relationships and partnerships as part of interdependent teamwork and support to all departments within Primedia Broadcasting
Managing internal and external relationship with relevant partner-agencies, sponsors, broadcaster and relevant suppliers
Audience performanc e
To work with Trade Marketing and The Relevant Broadcasters to drive audience share and sampling opportunities in order to attract new audiences
Keep abreast of and highly knowledgeable about company information, audience figures, relevant research, industry shifts and news and competitor activity
To work closely with the Research and Insights department as well as the broadcasters in setting up realistic and tangible audience targets as well as the understanding of TAMS so as to formulate realistic action plans to strengthen the brand and product performance
Strategic leadership

Develop and execute Departmental Strategies and performance plans aligned to the business's strategic objectives.
Participate actively in Senior Management meetings, strategic engagements, and leadership learning experiences.


REQUIREMENTS:

5-7 years hands on experience in media and/or marketing as well as Technical knowledge and awareness across all elements of marketing
360 media understanding
Experience working as a Marketing Manager in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Experience in launching new TV Programmes / Content
Expertise in strategy development of marketing campaigns execution
Strong communication, presentation, leadership and operational skills
Ability to manage complex and multi-channel campaigns
Ability to function in a high-performance quick turn-around environment
Must have a can-do attitude
Experience in developing, implementing, and managing a marketing and digital marketing strategy
Media owner experience will be distinctly advantageous

least 5 years-experience in the same or similar roles and a proven track record of successful integrated marketing projects and campaigns in the media, ideally television and broadcasting category.

Strategic level insight coupled with hands
on ability to operationalize the marketing and brand strategies in a practical manner
Logical, rational decision-making skills with ability to execute and project manage multiple projects and deadlines
