  • A Specialist Level 12 Month Contract Role within the Financial Services Industry based in Sandton (Gauteng) has become available.

The successful incumbent will contribute to the design, development and implementation of change management strategies and plans for the organisation to ensure smooth business change implementation and transition and building a high-performance values driven culture contributing to delivery of business objectives.


  • Key Outputs will include:
  • Degree in Human Resources majoring in OD or specialised Change Management Qualification or Business Degree
  • Certificate in Change Management, Project Management, Postgrad qualification majoring in OD
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Change Management
  • Familiar with project management methodologies and practices

Business and Financial Results Delivery

  • Contribute as professional taking responsibility for both operational and strategic change management initiatives
  • Contribute to implementation of the Change Management business plan to ensure delivery of focus areas for the next 3 years in support of the HR strategy
  • Ensure that results are delivered cost effectively by adhering to the organization's financial guidelines
  • Ensure that results are delivered in time and up to standard by adhering to agreed project timelines and standards
  • Create actionable deliverables through change management levers of communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan training plan and resistance management
  • Give expert change management, culture and project planning input by identifying, analyzing and preparing risk mitigation tactics
  • Provide input into the formalization for the departmental budget

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Ensure that client needs are understood and met by diagnosing, researching and validating the clients' needs
  • Maintain sustainable working relationship with stakeholders through ongoing engagement to ensure an understanding of their needs and maintain an open channel of communication at all times in supporting the department to achieve is business objectives
  • Develop and sustain relationships with service provider / vendor / supplier administrative staff to facilitate the effective procurement to pay process with service providers / vendors / suppliers

Process Management

  • Manage own delivery against functional delivery plan, project plan and set timelines, identify obstacles to delivery and take appropriate action where required
  • Identify people related risks for each change initiative and develop and implement mitigation plans with Change Specialist and relevant project and business stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of change management best practice
  • Identify obstacles and major challenges through continuous evaluation of processes and standards in order to ensure effective operational alignment to strategic priorities
  • Contribute to building of change management capabilities across the organisation through planning and implementation of activities as guided by the organisations Change Management functional KPAs and roadmap
  • Conduct change impact and stakeholder analysis to assess change readiness and obstacles as input into change plan
  • Create and implement change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement as well as drive faster adoption, greater ultimate utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved
  • Create sponsor roadmap, resistance management plan, communications plan and training plans during change implementation process to ensure effective delivery of change agenda
  • Manage change communication content and plan, coordination and facilitate change workshops to reach stakeholders and achieve change objectives
  • Design, develop and run reports and surveys to obtain information of effectiveness or required focus of change initiatives as well as provide information and status on change plan
  • Ensure adherence to change management methodology and requirements by educating stakeholders
  • Create/amend change management tools/processes/templates where required to ensure standardization of change management practice across the organisation
  • Work with various stakeholders and teams in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support change implementation (i.e., change sponsors, business owners, champions, project teams' communication team, HR teams, business analysts, process engineers, etc.)
