    Job Summary

    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to play a pivotal role in ensuring the profitability and efficiency of projects across various sectors, with a focus on municipal maintenance, pipeline construction, and related services. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimations, preparing accurate bill of quantities and cost estimates, and monitoring project costs throughout the lifecycle.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Quantity Take-Offs and Cost Estimations: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimations for projects, considering materials, labour, and equipment requirements.
    2. Bill of Quantities and Tender Submissions: Prepare accurate bill of quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for tender submissions and project budgets.
    3. Cost Analysis and Variations: Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates, monitor project costs, and track variations and change orders.
    4. Subcontractor and Supplier Negotiations: Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and value for money.
    5. Tender Document Preparation and Evaluation: Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies.
    6. Contractual Advice and Support: Provide contractual advice and support to project teams, resolving disputes and claims as necessary.
    7. Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities associated with projects, proposing mitigation strategies where necessary, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements.
    8. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare accurate and timely reports on project costs, variations, and financial performance, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, correspondence, and change orders.

    Requirements:

    1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
    2. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
    3. Professional Registration: Professional registration with a recognized industry body (e.g., RICS, SACQSP) preferred.
    4. Skills and Qualifications: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in relevant software applications, including MS Excel, CostX, and industry-specific estimating tools.

    Estimated Salary:

    ₹850,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
