Role purpose:

Play the Technical lead role to initiate and execute strategic initiatives and projects in the : Billing Operations, Commissions, Datastage and ERP Services domain.

Responsible for implementation of strategy, standards, guidelines and best practice globally and across functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Perform Cross System Solution Architect, Application Ownership and Support Role.
Lead a Team of Developers, Testers, and Application Support team members.
Setting strategic direction in Billing, Commissions, ERP and Datastage environment
Carry out investigations and evaluation of new solutions/developments, also responsible for impact and cost benefit analyses
Provide technical lead for cross functional projects. Identify key risk areas and ensure governance models are adhered to. Manage key relationships with stakeholders
Conduct research on strategic trends and technologies with the aim of developing roadmaps and benchmark against best practices
Compile strategic and operations processes and procedures against benchmarks
Perform an escalated support function on key technologies within the group. Sharing of expertise.
Identify risk areas communicate to all stakeholders.
Technical coordination of technology plans and submissions as well as best practice sharing functions
Evaluate, position, manage and present key technical recommendations to top management.
Negotiate and manage contracts and associated budgets where applicable. Represent Technology in contract discussions
Participate in global forums and knowledge sharing across functions
To conduct strategic and tactical planning, business analysis, and high-level requirements determination
Technically Supervise and Manage a team of specialist providing mentorship towards enhancing competencies.
To manage the successful implementation of technology solutions to the business and channel partners
To ensure that all reengineering initiatives consider the impact on systems across environments
To ensure that all processes, governance, and regulatory requirements are adhered to.
To manage contracts and service level agreements with the business, suppliers, and channel partners. This includes the ability to manage a mix of offshore and onshore suppliers where applicable.

Technical / professional qualifications:

Relevant degree or diploma - IT (essential)
Relevant Post graduate qualification
(advantageous)
Project management diploma (desirable)

Core competencies, knowledge and abiliites:

10 years' experience in Telecommunication Technology environment specifically Development, IT Security, and IT Ops Management.
