    Description

    Production Foreman

    This is a supervisory role in a Manufacturing/assembly plant where electrical products are assembled, tested, and packaged according to specifications.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and report assembly and quality problems to the Factory Manager and Quality Foreman.
    • Implement corrective and preventative actions as advised by the Factory Manager and Quality Foreman.
    • Ensure finished products are correctly identified.
    • Ensure all relevant work instructions and quality instructions are available before starting production lines.
    • Implement and maintain safety and health standards per the OSHACT System.
    • Maintain production records and general housekeeping.

    Requirements:

    • Trade test (Millwright/Toolmaker) and 3 years of experience in a Supervisory role within the Production/Manufacturing environment.
    • B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering with 1 year of management skills in the Production or manufacturing environment.
    • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of Management skills in a manufacturing/Production environment.
    • B.Eng Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with proven Leadership capabilities.

    Skills:

    • Solid production supervisory skills and capacity.
    • Proven ability to supervise and work with people.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

    About Us:

    We provide company transport for this role, and the successful candidate will reside in Ficksburg and travel to Lesotho.
