Description

DUTIES

  • Review payroll inputs
  • Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits and garnishments
  • Analyse compensationrelated data including wages and bonuses
  • Oversee payroll transactions (e.g. via sage pay, acb file)
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
  • Process benefit costs
  • Manage payment calendars for payroll
  • Report to management on payroll issues and changes
  • Answer employees' questions about salaries and tax
  • Stay uptodate with Payroll legislation and latest Sage updates

PAYROLL MANAGEMENT

  • Be responsible for the full end to end function of the South African Payroll.
  • Manage the South African Payroll system for both Ecolab SA &Lobster Ink Africa
  • Work closely with the HR and finance team to prepare and process all necessary documents and information
  • Ensure timeous payment of salaries every month
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of information for Payroll purposes.
  • Keep up to date and comply with all tax compliance procedures, IRP5's and any other payroll related processes.
  • Work with external payroll service providers in other countries to manage the full end to end payroll function of employees.
  • Will assist with the overtime process
  • Process payrun for Independent Contractors for Lobster Ink

HR AND PAYROLL QUERIES

  • Be available to answer employees' queries at any time of the day.
  • Get back / answering queries accurately and professionally and within a reasonable timeframe
  • Process and issue IRP5

HR BENEFITS MANAGEMENT

  • Manage all the administration required to provide healthcare benefits to employees
  • Biannually do health benefits awareness in the company
  • Liaise with the external healthcare benefits service providers to ensure our employees are being looked after.

MINIMUM QUALICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 or equivalent,
  • Tertiary Qualification in HR and/or Payroll or equivalent
  • 45 years' experience in the field of HR and/or payroll
  • Managed a large payroll (500+ employees)
  • Experience in working with multiply company/company rule on Sage 300
  • Training and Experience in SAGE 300 payroll is essential
  • International Payroll and HR experience an advantage
  • Proficiency in English (Verbal, Written, Reading) is essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft office/windows, etc.
  • Knowledge of south African labour law

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONALITY ATTRIBUTES

  • Numerical skills
  • Strong knowledge on Sage 300 people reports (variance report, GL setup, UIF Declaration)
  • Strong knowledge on garnishee order setups
  • Experience in managing more than one payroll for more than one company/company rules
  • Strong knowledge in processing independent contractors' payment on Sage 300
  • Knowledge in garnishee order setup
  • Highly structured and organized and can prioritize
  • Proactive and take initiative
  • UIF Declaration
  • In depth knowledge on SA Payroll legislations and Payroll tax setup
  • Advanced level in Excel and analytic skills
