    Job Title: Finance Business Improvement Specialist

    A seasoned data analyst with experience in auditing is required to excel in a highly rewarding opportunity.

    Requirements

    • Matriculation (Essential)
    • At least 2-3 years of experience in generating reports and dashboards
    • Strong background in data analysis
    • Experience in the insurance or finance sector

    Key Responsibilities

    The Group finance function is embarking on a reporting optimisation project, alongside ongoing assessments to enhance its functional and reporting activities. This initiative aims to strengthen the Group's role as a business partner. The Finance Business Improvement Specialist will collaborate with various business units, teams, and areas, driving integration of solutions and processes throughout their lifecycle. The specialist must possess technical expertise, including understanding of basic process and reporting development principles, change management, and project management.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Working closely with stakeholders to identify and prioritise opportunities for improvement, ensuring alignment and efficiency.
    • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, and developing solutions to improve performance.
    • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing strategies for optimisation.
    • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in process and IT to automate systems.
    • Documenting efforts and communicating insights through meetings and presentations.
    • Conducting requirements and root cause analysis to ensure solutions meet business needs.
    • Effectively communicating plans and insights to cross-functional team members and management.
    • Gathering critical information from stakeholder meetings and producing informative reports.
    • Managing key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring solution delivery against business requirements.
    • Collaborating with various areas of the business and serving as a liaison between stakeholders.
    • Maintaining procedures and updating them as necessary.
    • The Finance Business Improvement Specialist must be able to:
    • Assess the current state, identify gaps, and determine to-be requirements.
    • Develop recommendations for options analysis and future design.
    • Conduct impact assessments, considering all stakeholders, to determine business change impact.
    • Present findings and outcomes to stakeholders.
    • Direct process improvement projects.
    • Create training materials to facilitate adoption of new systems or processes.
    • Construct complex process diagrams and standard operating procedures.
    • Manage conflicts and engage stakeholders effectively.
    • Offer guidance and support to junior analysts.
    • Identify and document project risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
    • Perform quality assurance of business analysis deliverables.
    • Analyse at a strategic level and understand business and enterprise architecture principles.
    • Deliver projects and manage their implementation.
    • Demonstrate attention to detail and maintain high-quality standards.
    • Demonstrate a broad range of capabilities.
    • Analyse problems and identify solutions.
    • Implement finance function-related solutions.

    Desired Experience & Qualifications

    • Professional experience in Auditing.
    • Background in the insurance or finance industry would be advantageous.
