  • Purpose of the Job
The Ad Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing and optimising advertising campaigns.
The Ad Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of ad campaign
execution, ensuring smooth operations, and maximising campaign performance. This role requires a
deep understanding of digital advertising platforms, technologies, and data analysis, as well as strong
organisational and communication skills.

Campaign Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to define campaign objectives,
requirements, and specifications. Ensure accurate campaign setup, including targeting, tracking, and
ad serving across various platforms.

Ad Trafficking and Tag Management:

  • Manage the trafficking of ad creatives, ensuring proper tagging, tracking, and implementation of
third-party tracking pixels. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve any technical
issues related to ad serving and tracking.

Optimisation and Performance:

  • Monitor campaign performance and analyse data to identify areas for optimisation. Optimise
targeting, bidding, and creative strategies to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as click
- through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and return on ad spend (ROAS).


Data Analysis and Reporting:


  • Generate regular reports on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations to
clients and internal stakeholders. Utilise analytics tools to analyse data, identify trends, patterns, and
opportunities for campaign enhancement.


Ad Operations Management

  • Maintain and improve advertising operations processes, workflows, and documentation. Ensure
compliance with industry standards, privacy regulations, and best practices. Stay up to date with
industry trends and emerging ad technologies.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including sales, creative, and analytics teams, to ensure
seamless campaign execution. Foster strong relationships with clients, providing proactive support,
addressing concerns, and answering questions.


Team Management

  • Manage and guide a team of ad operations specialists. Allocate work, set priorities, provide
mentorship, and evaluate performance. Develop team members' skills and knowledge in digital
advertising and ad operations.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field
  • Experience
  • Experience
working with API integrations for data transfer, campaign automation, and reporting

purposes. Ability to leverage APIs to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency

  • Knowledge and Skills
  • Indepth knowledge of digital advertising platforms, such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager,
and programmatic advertising platforms

  • Knowledge of the ad tech ecosystem, including ad exchanges, demandside platforms (DSPs), and
data management platforms (DMPs), is a plus

  • Solid understanding of ad operations workflows, including campaign setup, trafficking, QA testing,
and troubleshooting. Ability to optimise processes and ensure efficient campaign execution

  • Excellent understanding how to set up campaigns, manage inventory, and utilise targeting
capabilities

  • Proficiency in ad serving technologies, ad servers, and tag management systems
