POSITION

CUSTOM CLEARING AGENT

REPORTING TO

DEPOT MANAGER




MAIN GOAL:
CUSTOM BORDER DOCUMENTATION

Key performance Areas

OPERATION

Daily allocation of duties

  • Export documents to Namibia
  • Receive invoices and making copies
  • Declaration of road transport documents using Easy Clear programme
  • Declaration of road transport documents using Assycuda (Namibia)
  • Submitting border documents to SARS customs
  • Generate and print the manifest make sure all VAT payments, permits etc is correct and complete before the driver leave the depot
  • Liaising with clients
  • Preparing all the border documents for the drivers
  • Handling all queries regarding clearing of documentation
  • Sort out queries if the drivers get stopped at the borders
  • Make sure that all the documents corresponds with the manifest before you give the papers to the drivers
  • Assist with answering phones
  • Any other duties related to this position

Maintenance
Report any problems to Management.


HUMAN RESOURCES

Grievances
Inform Management of complaints received and assist to solve them.


GENERAL
Set an example for staff.

Use your own initiative, cope in an emergency, accept change and keep up to date with new technology.

Ensure that any first aid or fire action is taken speedily as required.

Be punctual

To be available to work extra time

To be familiar with rules and regulations and security procedures

To perform any other reasonable duties as prescribed by the management

  • Must be familiar with Easyclear (SARS custom program) and Assycuda (Namibian custom program)
  • 3+ years experience in the logistics industry IS A MUST HAVE
  • The position is available from 3 January 202
  • Working hour shifts


  • Mon

  • Fri 09h00 to 18h00 and 11h00 to 20h00. The employee will work overtime during the week and weekends (depends on how many trucks we load)
  • Salary will be negotiable depending on the experience
  • Must have own transport
  • Must be a teamworker and wellspoken
