Electrician - Cape Town - West Coast Personnel

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance on plant machinery, ensuring efficient and timely completion of tasks with minimal downtime.

This role requires extensive experience in working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs), as well as a thorough understanding of sensors used in conveyor lines.

Fault finding and diagnostics skills are also essential, along with adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards as per company procedures and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical maintenance on plant machinery
Planned and preventative maintenance
Fault Finding / Diagnostics of Electrical & Electronic problems
Maintenance of Safety, Health and Environmental standards

Requirements:

Served a recognized apprenticeship
Trade test passed with red seal certificate (preferable)
Wireman's License (preferable)
Experience with Frequency Speed Drives and Servo Drive
Recognized Electronics qualification
Experience with PLC programming (preferable)
At least 5 years post-qualification manufacturing experience working on high-speed machinery
Able to work overtime, on call-out, and weekends if required
Able to work shifts

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
