Security Officer

Purpose of the role
The security plays a key role in day-to
- day operations of the business. The role of security officer is to maintain safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
  • Obtains help by sounding alarms.
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
  • Controls traffic by directing drivers.
  • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
  • Regularly monitor the shopfloor.
  • Check all goods that leave the company premises.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Excellent communication skills, problemsolving and interpersonal skills.
  • Accurate and attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Physically fit.
  • Able to work independently with mínimal supervision.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cape Town,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)


License/Certification:

  • PSIRA Certificate (preferred)
