Description

SBV seeks Regional Risk Manager who will be Responsible for the management and deployment of Tactical Support Officers inclusive of, Physical Security within the region of appointment in addition to gathering and reporting on trends and utilising the information to address threats identified within the region.


Manage the security Intelligence Process within the region.

  • Provide input into the Security and Intelligence regional structure that is supported by micro environmental information.
  • Maintain a robust tactical support environment to maintain the skillsets of the team through the relevant training initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal and external sources of intelligence to investigate the Modus Operando of criminal activity within the region and implement preventative action plans to improve the risk profile.
  • Evaluate the tactical support routes, service points and escape routes to provide suggestions for optimisation.
  • Provide input and feedback to the other business units and Senior Management in terms of projects, lessons learnt to mitigate risk possibilities within the specific region.
  • Lead and drive adherence to all related legal requirements in conjunction with the Legal and Compliance department.
  • Craft, propose and implement tactical support models for all centres on a regional level based on information received from the (crime levels, police forums
- align to the environment).

  • Review and propose equipment requirements for the Tactical Teams within the region.
  • Conduct the relevant analysis and report on all incidents within the region.

Collaborate with stakeholders regionally to identify and mitigate risks

  • Partner with the regions and key stakeholders to create a talent pipeline as well as train talent to avoid resource gaps, supporting the business in shortfalls where need be.
  • Work closely with the Learning Academy to review and or create a Training programme for the Tactical Support Officers. Partner with senior leaders in various business units to evaluate adherence to policies for change initiatives, new products and significant systems enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the regional support teams to create and execute plans aligned to strategic objectives and monitor progress against the plan.
  • Conduct root cause analysis after an incident to mitigate possible threats identified and implement preventative measures received from External & Internal investigation departments within SBV.
  • Where applicable represent SBV on the applicable forums within the industry, policing forums

Lead the SBV culture

  • Lead Transformation and BBB-EE initiatives to ensure sustainable alignment to the company scorecard.
  • Provide leadership to employees within the organisation, creating a winning culture and high morale.
  • Initiate and lead a culture of performance driven output through shared purpose vision and values

Risk Management

  • Provide input towards the BCM plan and disaster recovery process to ensure availability, integrity, security and confidentiality.
  • Execute the SBV Risk and Governance Framework, ensuring compliance to the operational minimum standards and SOP's, operationally at a Centre level and SCO (corporate governance)

People Management

  • Manage the Employee Value Proposition entrenchment with the aim to strengthen and position SBV as an employer of choice.
  • Create a sustainable partnership with the union in order to proactively manage the labour climate within one's region.
  • Provide leadership to employees within SBV.
  • Creates a conducive environment which translates into productivity and high morale within SBV.
  • Inspire one's team to deliver on key performance areas.
  • Adhere to legislative requirements and Group policies and procedures.
  • Leading the focus on talent to instill value creation for high value contributors.
  • Create and monitor safe working environments within one's region.

Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience


  • 5 years' experience within a CIT/Risk management environment of which:
  • 2 years' experience has been on management level

Minimum Requirements:
Education


  • Diploma in Security/Risk/Compliance/Governance.
  • Firearm competency certificate for all categories
