Our client is a pioneer in the field of AI solutions, specializing in crafting sophisticated monitoring solutions tailored to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity within the mining sector.


Operating form their office in Johannesburg, the Sytems Specialist will be responsible for onsite monitoring and Customer support, throughout SA and Africa.

You will be responsible for building new customer relationships (business development) and maintaining current customers, implementing your IT, network, and database knowledge.


KPi's will include:

  • Installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting AI products at different mine site, by making use of using both computers and power tools.
  • Remotely connect to client servers at minesites to obtain performance data for system evaluation
  • Prepare weekly and monthly system performance reports
  • Create and maintain training, products, and technical support documents
  • Plan and execute system installations and maintenance visits to customer sites
  • Onsite programming, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Provide onsite training on system software, hardware, and online platforms
  • Use technical knowledge to perform root cause failure analysis and look for ways to continually improve system reliability

Requirements:

  • Qualification in IT/ Electronics Engineering/ Systems Engineering/ C&I
  • Sound understanding of windows operating system and computer network infrastructure.
  • Basic knowledge of command prompt and Linux.
  • Previous exposure to onsite mining work
  • Valid Passport
  • Must be handson and able to work with mechanical and electrical tools, with a basic understanding of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Previous work experience in a technical support role within engineering field.
