Exciting career opportunity in Procurement

Are you ready to elevate your manufacturing procurement career? NDC Personnel & Contractors has partnered with an independent
manufacturer in the
Western Cape.

Together, we're on the lookout for a savvy and dynamic individual to step into the role of
Buyer within their dynamic
Engineering department.

As Buyer, you'll source and procure all requirements according to specifications and speed up outstanding items on a weekly basis.

Supplier files will be maintained by you with price increase letters and justifications for price increases.

You need to be able to understand price escalation formulae and cost drivers of various items, so financial acumen is essential.

You'll also obtain freight quotes for imported items and co-ordinate deliveries through clearing and forwarding agents. All claims against suppliers will be raised through procurement and followed-up by you.

You'll ensure that all work instructions are up to date and all new supplier requests are completed with the relevant documents attached.

We need someone with negotiation finesse as you'll negotiate improved payment terms.

If you have Matric, a Purchasing diploma (or similar relevant tertiary qualification) and 2 years' experience within procurement in a manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you
