Requirements

• Grade 12 (passed and completed)
• Valid forklift operator certification/license.
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operation.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate equipment in a variety of environmental conditions.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse or worksite.
• Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices, ensuring proper stacking and securing for transport.
• Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Move materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and various workstations as required.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting the movement of materials and products.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to established safety protocols.
• Assist with general warehouse duties such as organizing inventory, cleaning work areas, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and ensure efficient operations.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to quality control and compliance.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of forklift operation and safety practices.
