- Work closely with the MMEA Head of Contract Management on functional priorities, strategic program execution globally and locally, standardization of processes, and data-driven analytics.
- Lead the team of contract managers in managing OPEX, mentoring, coaching, upskilling, competence mapping, performance management, and allocation to meet the Customer Unit and MA business requirements.
- Ensure a culture of compliance and ethics with collaboration among all team members across the function.
- Develop and implement effective ways of working with legal, domains, sales, business control, and all other functions, including the BA in the sales process.
- Work with the core 3 team in the sales engagement phase with the solution and fulfillment team to define the contract strategy aligned with the business case & commercial conditions.
- Manage key strategic customer accounts by securing the right terms and conditions, including compliance with company policies and sales directives during the sales process and existing contract lifecycle.
- Establish strict contractual scope to protect against profit leakage through scope creep, managing volume discounts, price incentives, or vouchers uniformly across all contracts.
- Lead the contract strategy and negotiations for significant value and risk opportunities.
- Negotiate and resolve commercial disputes and settlements related to the contracted scope with strong governance and planning internally and externally with customers.
- Provide contract knowledge, guidance, and assistance on the interpretation of contractual clauses.
- Provide internal guidance on mitigating claims and resolving critical issues via commercial governance.
- Develop strong commercial models and associated terms & conditions with a sales-driven approach and value argumentation.
- Maintain knowledge of operational issues that could result in commercial disputes.
- Drive the planning and execution of contract governance, managing contract risk, change control, claims & disputes, and initiating contract variations as needed in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Advise operational teams on commercial risk mitigation strategies.
- Protect Ericsson's rights under contracts and ensure proper performance of respective parties' obligations.
- Defend and improve profitability and working capital through professional risk and claim management.
- Monitor and follow up on contract execution with knowledge-sharing sessions within the account team, sharing the latest contractual commitments and overall position from financial, delivery, performance, and risk perspectives.
- 8 or more years of contract management or comparable experience such as account management or finance.
