    Description

    Senior Java Developer

    We seek a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to develop, maintain, and support mission-critical software applications. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced technologies such as Java EE, Docker, AWS, and Oracle, solving complex integration patterns and modernizing platforms with minimal disruption.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Software Development: Develop scalable, efficient code based on technical requirements.
    • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and prioritize requests, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
    • Solution Design: Contribute to designing and coding new functionality, ensuring quality and performance.
    • Testing and Deployment: Conduct system integration and user acceptance testing, manage releases, and ensure smooth deployment.
    • Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with business analysts and testing teams, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior developers.
    • Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to systems, processes, and performance.

    Key Skills

    • Strong Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • Technical Proficiency: Experienced in Java EE, GitLab, Jenkins, REST API, and back-end development.
    • Programming Skills: Skilled in object-oriented programming and microservices architecture.
    • CI/CD Environment: Demonstrated experience in CI/CD and comfort working on Linux/AIX platforms.

    Qualifications

    • Java Experience: 8-10 years of Java development experience, with at least 5 years in distributed computing.
    • Java Knowledge: Advanced knowledge in Java EE and experience with back-end development.
    • Education: Bachelors degree or diploma in IT, with a relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
