Description
Minimum Requirements:
Degree in business administration or relevant field
Quality control certification
Project Management qualification will be an advantage
5 Years experience in a manufacturing environment
ISO9001 and International Quality Standard 9000
Key Responsibilities:
Quality
Understanding customer expectations of and specific needs from each part.
Developing quality control processes.
Designing each part work instruction or specification.
Ensuring parts are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.
Management of Quality Supervisor staff and monitoring production standards.
Examining the quality of raw materials that are used in production.
Monitoring and evaluating internal production processes.
Evaluating the final output of products to determine their quality.
Rejecting parts that fail quality standards.
Creating non-conformance for all failed parts/products
Engaging with customers and gathering product feedback.
Producing statistical reports on quality standards.
Reporting to upper management on quality standard issues.
Evaluating product recalls.
Improving production efficiency and managing waste.
Process Control
Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.
Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing and testing new procedures.
Assembles reports to document process status and changes.
Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades.
Communicates findings and proposals to upper management.
Utilizes process simulation software to test and find the most appropriate production
strategies.
Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes.
Conducts risk assessments.
Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Health and Safety
Ensures the safety of workers
Instructs and trains new employees in OHS Requirements.
Ensures and when necessary enforces compliance with Occupational Health & Safety
Act and Associated Regulations in the Quality Department
Ensures compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
standards and legislation in the Quality Department
Oversees occupational health & safety management systems and related programmes
and activities in the Quality Department
Consults with senior management and managers wrt occupational health & safety
management systems and related matters in the Quality Department
Investigates accidents/ incidents, injuries and loss incidents, and prepare reports of
findings which occur in the Quality Department
