    Job Title: Waiter

    Location: Cape Town - Stellenbosch, South Africa

    Estimated Salary: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled and attentive Waiter to join our team at one of the world's most prestigious wineries. As a Waiter, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring that every visitor has a memorable experience.

    • Key Responsibilities:
    • Meet and greet guests with a warm smile and genuine hospitality;
    • Possess thorough knowledge of our menu, wine list, and surrounding wine regions;
    • Demonstrate expertise in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions with accuracy;
    • Take orders with precision and deliver accurate food and drinks orders in a timely manner;
    • Clear tables efficiently and maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout your shift;
    • Upsell and suggest additional items to enhance the guest experience;
    • Maintain a strong customer service orientation and actively listen to feedback and concerns;
    • Display patience and attentiveness when interacting with guests, particularly those from distinguished backgrounds;
    • Present yourself in a well-groomed and professional manner at all times;
    • Demonstrate flexibility and accountability in a fast-paced environment;
    • Possess an enthusiastic personality and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 certificate as a minimum qualification;
    • 3 years of previous waiter/waitress experience in a similar fine dining environment (preferably);
    • Basic knowledge of wine and surrounding wine regions;
    • Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system;
    • Basic math skills;
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
