Minimum requirements:


  • Relevant Bachelors Degree or equivalent (Finance, Economics or Accounting)
  • A Financial Modelling and Valuations Analyst certificate will be advantageous
  • 10+ years of progressive, professional experience with an emphasis in Finance and Investor Relations.
  • Experience in effectively running an Investor Relations team, including cultivating relationships with the investment community, communicating the company's strategy to the analyst and investment community, and developing buyside and sellside relationships.
  • The individual could also have experience as an equity research analyst.

Minimum knowledge required:


  • Financial Knowledge: A strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial reporting is crucial. Should be able to analyse financial data and communicate it effectively to investors and stakeholders.
  • Capital Markets Knowledge: Familiarity with the capital markets and investment industry is essential. This person should understand how the financial markets work and how they can impact the company's stock performance.
  • Investor Relations Experience: Prior experience in investor relations, financial analysis, or a related field is highly valuable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate financial information, company updates, and corporate strategies clearly to investors, analysts, and the public.
  • Relationship Building: Skilled at building and maintaining relationships with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements is necessary.
  • Crisis Management: The ability to handle crises and challenging situations with composure and tact is crucial.
  • Market Perception: Understanding market perceptions, competitor analysis, and the impact of industry trends on the company's stock performance.
  • Strategic Thinking: to aligning investor relations strategies with the company's overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in using investor relations platforms, financial software, and other relevant tools for analysis and reporting is beneficial.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams within the organization.
  • Understanding of the investment industry in relations to the ICT/Technology sector

Responsibilities:


  • Develop an investor relations strategy and equity story
  • Work with the management team to develop the company strategy and equity story and refine the messaging, given insights from the investor community.
  • Develop and maintain the IR strategy and program which sets out an engagement plan with the market covering inter alia earning releases, investor days, roadshows, and conferences.
  • Understand and monitor the broader technology market and trends including key metrics used by investors to analyse companies in the sector.
  • Provide support with ongoing information to the company's executive leadership regarding competitive intelligence from the industry, relative stock price movements and periodic ownership analysis.
  • Raise and manage the client's profile with investor and analyst communities
  • Serve as a primary contact for the investment community.
  • Identify the ideal investor profile and lead the IR effort to find, support, and engage with institutional investors by broadening awareness and interest through conferences, presentations, meetings, media, etc.
  • Present ideas for enhancing the shareholder base as well as expanding coverage by additional sellside analysts.
  • Develop investor communication storylines in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and act as speaker on behalf of the company at investment presentations, conferences, and individual meetings.
  • Collect, analyse, and present feedback from investors and research analysts to identify improvement areas and messaging opportunities.
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with shareholders and analysts to reinforce management and company credibility.
  • Develop and execute a successful ongoing investor relations function
  • Documenting and communicating the equity story and differentiators consistently, comprehensively, and accurately with existing and prospective investors and analysts through inter alia website, results presentations, conference presentations, roadshows, and investor meetings.
  • In coordination with the CEO, CMO and CFO, manage the financial results process and preparation of collateral, schedule, and external resources.
  • Own and/or contribute to other IRrelated events and deliverables such as the integrated report, proxy materials and shareholder meeting, financial analyst day, investor roadshows, company fact book, backup materials, etc.
