Description
3years- Maintain and update payroll system, verify and test payroll changes on payroll system before implementation.
- Collect, validate and capture payroll and employee benefit related information e.g. bonus, increases, overtime.
- Ensure proper document control.
- Understand workflow on ESS.
- Basic understanding of tax and its implications.
- Verify payments against payroll reports.
- Compile reports as and when required and forward to relevant Manager.
- Compile month end report and journals.
- Process monthly /Weekly Pay slips if necessary.
- Ensure recons are done for Medical Aids, Pension and Provident.
- Audit payrolls accordingly before sending for review.
- Leave Audits.
- Ensure that the yearly tax tables and medical aid changes are done annually.
- Ensure that all documentation is filed correctly and in accordance to set standard
- Ensure that all personnel records are kept in accordance with statutory and tax requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve customer queries timely and accurately.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Update terminated employee's master files correctly and in line with Company policy.
- Assist employees with medical aid changes, Pension and Provident claims and families with death benefits.
- Complete UIF forms as and when required and hand over to the relevant employees
- Submit payroll reports reports timeously
- Stationary orders
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification on Payspace related modules
- Computer Literacy (MS Office)
- System skills (payroll System)
- Knowledge of relevant legislations
- Basic conditions of employment Act.
