Online freelance platform seeking to engage the services of a Business Development Consultant

As a Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for growing the number of hirers signed up to our online platform. This will entail identifying, cold-calling and reaching out to potential hirers, with the core target market being UK and South Africa based businesses.

You will work closely with our Marketing and Development teams on client retention, service delivery, systems optimisation and growth opportunities and ensure that our clients are getting the most out of our system and services.

The objective is to connect UK businesses with South African talent via the platform.

Duties:


Hirer Business Development

Research potential hirers for the platform and develop methods to attract and assess the right approach depending on the client

Have virtual meetings with prospective hirers to explain the Freelance Magnet platform and highlight the benefits of signing up

Assist customers with setting up and navigating the platform.

Be the point of contact and determine how to distribute support queries
***:

Complete, accurate tracking of communication with current and potential customers
***:

Manage the return of investment (ROI) of hirer campaigns and actively decrease the "cost of acquisition" per hirer

Monitor the performance of jobs posted by hirers and communicate this with hirers directly, and similarly communicate with marketing to ensure that marketing efforts for freelancers are consistent with the skills required for the jobs loaded

Conduct regular business reviews with customers to provide updates on value-add activities from Freelance Magnet and ensure alignment between Freelance Magnet's Customer Success Plan and the customer's priorities

Identify new business and cross-selling opportunities within existing customer accounts and develop account plans to map out success metrics for all customer

Ensuring the voice of the customer and customer satisfaction expectations are appropriately represented in product roadmap decisions

Experience:
2+ years in a similar sales role for an online marketplace or platform
