Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in the renewable sector to join our client's team. The client is an international organization that offers long-term career growth opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design and engineer electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage solutions.
Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and other engineers to ensure successful completion of projects through effective communication and coordination.
Conduct site visits to assess electrical requirements and develop plans for equipment layout and construction to meet safety and performance standards.
Utilize software programs such as AutoCAD for design and modeling purposes, as well as other relevant tools like XGSlab and Digsilent.
Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and standards to guarantee the integrity and reliability of electrical systems.
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for clients and internal use, demonstrating attention to detail and precision in documentation.
Support procurement activities by identifying and evaluating potential equipment options and suppliers to optimize budget allocation and resource management.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, with a strong portfolio of previous work and achievements.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and other relevant software programs, including knowledge of industry-specific tools and technologies.
Experience in problem-solving and analyzing complex engineering data, with a focus on developing creative and effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel internationally for site visits and client meetings as needed, with flexibility and adaptability in working across different cultures and time zones.
