    We are seeking an experienced Automotive Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance of our vehicle fleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintenance Management: Assist in managing the maintenance of our vehicle fleet, including scheduling and coordinating repairs and maintenance activities.
    • Workshop Oversight: Oversee the management of facilities, tools, and equipment within the workshop.
    • Tool and Equipment Control: Manage the control and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
    • Engineering Administration: Manage engineering administration functions, including maintaining accurate records and reports.
    • Personnel Supervision: Supervise workshop personnel, identifying developmental needs and providing guidance and support as required.
    • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations within the workshop.
    • Asset Monitoring: Monitor and maintain accurate records of assets within the workshop.
    • Liaison: Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure optimal service delivery.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Artisan Diesel Mechanic (Trade Test)
    • Valid Code EC (or EC1 0.4 or C) Drivers License
    • Experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance
    • Experience in servicing and repairing automotive components
    • 2 years' experience as a manager in a unionized environment, preferably in a heavy commercial (buses) workshop
    • Experience in vehicle fleet management
    • Ability to work extended hours, including standby and weekends
    • Experience in removal, refit, and re-commissioning of heavy commercial (buses) engines is essential
