Description

Minimum Education:


Matric / National Diploma, Bachelor of Technology, or Undergraduate Degree in Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or similar. Alternatively, an Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Law, Finance, or related fields will also suffice

Minimum Experience:


- 7 years' experience within the procurement field with - 6 years' experience in a managerial position (eg as a Procurement Manager)

Duties and Requirements includes but is not limited to the following:

Develop and design the company's procurement strategies and plans.

Lead and direct the implementation of procurement strategies.

Manage the Procurement department and team.

Develop and design procurement team performance strategies and appraisals to ensure that the process functions smoothly and effectively.

Develop and design procurement-related policies and procedures, taking into account applicable legislation and company business objectives.
***:

Draft, analyse and evaluate procurement reports.
***:

Evaluate the company's regional and international procurement processes, successes, and weaknesses.
***:

Identify, analyse, and evaluate cost-effective strategies to improve the procurement process.
***:

Represent the company to key suppliers and build strong relationships with these individuals.

Negotiate and approve key contracts and agreements with suppliers.
***:

Establish the procurement department's budget on an annual basis.

Direct the restructuring of the procurement department.

- **Maintain an excellent and up-to-date knowledge of industry and economic trends, developments, and changes.
