Are you a passionate Planner with the following qualifications and experience?

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should have a matric certificate, with a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business management or a related field

Professional Expertise:

A minimum of 35 years of experience in merchandise planning within the retail sector is required.
Merchandise experience within FMCG is beneficial, along with a proven track record of managing stock files to meet budget and targets.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain merchandise plans based on historical data, current trends, and sales goals
Forecast sales, inventory levels, and markdowns to ensure optimal inventory turnover
Collaborate with the buying team to develop assortment plans and make buying decisions
Monitor and analyse sales performance, inventory levels, and margin goals
Identify opportunities for growth and recommend strategies to increase profitability
Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery and availability of products
Review and adjust merchandise plans based on market conditions and business goals
Communicate regularly with crossfunctional teams to align on business objectives and priorities
