    • Lead the strategic management of the Department
    • Enhance the Department's research profile
    • Improve quality teaching, learning, and student support

    • Serve as an academic leader in the discipline
    • Promote innovative uses of technology in teaching and learning

    Requirements

    Associate Professor

    • Relevant doctorate in Humanities Education or closely related field
    • 5-8 years' teaching experience
    • Comprehensive teaching portfolio
    • Meaningful engagement with student feedback
    • 11 publications in internationally/nationally accredited journals
    • At least 6 students supervised to completion at Masters/Doctoral level
    • Proven national/international peer recognition
    • Experience raising research funding
    • International collaborations/conference presentations/community engagement

    Full Professor

    • Relevant doctorate in Humanities Education or closely related field
    • 8-10 years' teaching experience
    • Comprehensive teaching portfolio
    • Leadership experience in curriculum development/scholarship of teaching and learning
    • Transformational leadership in curriculum development/innovation
    • 16 publications in internationally/nationally accredited journals
    • At least 8 students supervised to completion at Masters/Doctoral level
    • Proven success in raising research funds
    • Experience being a lead/principal investigator on national/international research projects

    Competencies

    • Proven managerial skills/competencies in a tertiary environment
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Appropriate language and communication skills
    • Diversity management skills
