    Description

    Job Title: Business Development Specialist

    Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with the company's strategic objectives.
    • Develop strong relationships with existing and potential customers to drive growth and revenue.
    • Cultivate customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and efficiently.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to devise strategies for business expansion and market penetration.
    • Liaise with the team regarding sample deliveries and customer visits to ensure seamless operations.
    • Regularly visit clients to gather feedback, update CRM records, and provide valuable market insights.
    • Monitor and report on market trends to identify opportunities for new product promotions or adjustments.
    • Analyse data on competitors, customer preferences, and industry trends to inform marketing strategies.
    • Promote new and existing products to current and potential clients through targeted marketing efforts.
    • Conduct training sessions for client representatives on product features, benefits, and usage.
    • Manage the lifecycle of new product development from concept to launch, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
    • Conduct market research to gather insights on competitors, customer preferences, and industry developments.
    • Work closely with the sales team to align marketing strategies with sales goals and drive revenue growth.

    Qualifications & Experience Required:

    • Bachelor's degree or post-matric diploma/qualification in a relevant field.
    • Proven experience in marketing or a related field, preferably within the food and/or packaging industry.
    • Ability to analyse market trends and data using tools like Syspro and Power BI.
    • Proficiency in marketing software and CRM systems.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
    • Valid unendorsed driver's license and own reliable vehicle for business travel.
