    Job Title: Payroll Administrator

    Location: Kempton Park - Automotive Sector

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process full payroll functions for 300-400 salaried staff on Sage Premier.
    • Accurately process overtime, claims, and commissions using Sage ESS.
    • Conduct monthly reconciliations of overtime, claims, and commission to ensure accuracy.
    • Maintain accurate leave checking and control on Sage ESS.
    • Administer clocking systems and communicate payroll changes or challenges to supervisors/ managers in a timely manner.
    • Review and maintain payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishee orders, taxes, and other deductions.
    • Ensure correct processing of leave and employee benefits, and maintain personal files accurately.
    • Guarantee compliance with company policies and procedures regarding financial capturing and processing.
    • Ensure accurate payroll updates, new employee engagement, terminations, job titles, and changes to pay rates, as well as monthly inputs received.
    • Submit bi-annual reconciliation and EMP501 via E@syFile.
    • Generate employee IRP5's and submit monthly reconciliation and PAYE/SDL/UIF EMP201's via E@syFile.
    • Request payment for third-party payments (Medical Aid/MIBCO/Unions etc.) each month.
    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of recon/submission and Mibco.
    • Apply for tax directives and administer IT88's.
    • Submit month-end and GL, salary journals, etc., to the Finance Department.
    • Utilize excellent Excel, ODBC, and VIP Premier/ESS system skills.
    • Ensure adherence to all industrial labor and tax regulations.
    • Acquire extensive knowledge of the payroll function, including preparation, balancing, and internal controls.
    • Maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion at all times.
    • Process necessary documents and reports in a timely manner.
    • Manage leave administration, annual, and month-to-month reconciliations.
    • Adhere to company policies strictly and enforce them accordingly.
    • Distribute payslips to various branches on time.
    • Assist with payroll queries, past and present.
    • Participate in department audits.
    • Set an example for team members by demonstrating commitment, work ethic, good behavior, honesty, and positive mannerisms.
    • Perform lawful tasks as required by supervisors and management.
    • Assist with occasional HR Department and company-related tasks, events, and organization.

    Requirements:

    • Payroll Diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a Payroll position.
    • Good knowledge and experience with MIBCO.
    • Code 08 license.
    • Confident and proactive approach anticipating issues and requirements.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Strong documentation skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Able to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and under pressure.

    Package & Remuneration:

    R 25,000 - R 27,000 per month, plus medical aid and provident fund.
