    Description
    Main Objective: We are seeking a French Speaking Congolese national or resident to work in Kolwesi, Democratic Republic of Congo.

    This role is responsible for administering the operational side of Service Agreement Contracts between Trafigura and Warehouses or 3rd Party locations. The successful candidate will organize and control operations of loading, discharge, blending, storage, weighing, and sampling at Ports/Warehouses, as well as Smelters/Plants.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of blending processes, imports, and exports.
    Identifying and managing risks in blends, reception, and logistics port processes.
    Optimizing costs in all processes associated with Blending Operations.
    Providing technical support to Operations & Trading in processes related to reception, storage, blending, export, and import.
    Controlling on-ground operations in locations where Trafigura stores concentrates or metals, as well as blending (concentrates).
    Reviewing proforma invoices of Warehouse / 3rd Party locations services.
    Making sure terms of the contract with Warehouse / 3rd Party locations are met.
    Issuing and reviewing SOPs to apply at Warehouse / 3rd Party locations.
    Controlling stocks, map layouts, and balances per quality.

    Activities:
    Planning blending operations in due time, prior coordination with Operations and/or Trading.
    Reviewing blends and identifying eventual risks that may affect results and acceptance of final blends.
    Delivering paper blends confirmed.
    Preparing blending sequences and establishing control and monitoring of blending processes.
    Instructing warehouses:
    1. Scheduling blending and priorities
    2. Detailed blending sequences indicating mixing methods and controls in each step.
    3. Warning critical stages in the blending process.
    4. Controlling final blends (weight, assays, granulometry, etc).

    Physically reviewing critical qualities to be included in blends.
    Monitoring blend physical processes.
    Controlling moisture and mesh of final blends (when applicable).
    Controlling operational costs.
    Evaluating final blends (loading vs purchase) to determine losses or gains in blends.
    Maintaining monthly reports to Ops/Trading/WSMD on blend results.
    Monitoring dispatch and export processes.
    Providing technical support to traders for problems with mining producers.

    Coordinating with producers to solve reception process problems.
    Coordinating with producers to solve logistic problems.
    Managing warehouse spaces: keeping adequate pile sizes.
    Meeting with warehouses to review contract deviations.
    Evaluating additional service costs of warehouses, informing Ops/Trading for negotiation.
    Issuing stock reports with reliable assays, reported to WSMD, Operations & Trading for use in paper blends and blending sequences. Balances per quality included.
    Auditing balance of qualities consumed/dispatched, elaborating action plans to correct SOPs in case of losses.
    Investigating detailed losses in weights & assays, preventing recurrence.
    Performing necessary tests to understand concentrate behavior, affecting weighing & sampling results.
    Inspecting physical conditions of stocks, working on action plans to prevent concentrate degradation. On locations where physical inspection is not possible, performing audits through month-end stock reconciliations issued by nominated surveyors.
    Attending regular loading and discharge operations, ensuring agreed SOPs are followed, and immediately correcting negligence affecting cargo integrity.
