Description

Purpose
To operate cutting machines and produce high quality banknotes in accordance to customer

specifications and aligned to the South African Bank Note Company (SABN) standards.


Main Responsibilities (not limited to):


  • Cutting & packing products as per set performance targets and in full compliance with
quality specifications

  • Perform denomination settings, quality checks through measuring of notes against set
specifications

  • Ensure that machines are operated according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Minimise wastage in every activity within set targets
  • Perform autonomous maintenance tasks as per the schedule, and report any defective
performance to the Section Head

  • Operate the machine in adherence to SHE regulations and legislation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement
  • Ensure that machines are counting accurately under dual control
  • Report any balancing issues to the Section Head immediately
  • Ensure correct entry of data into DCLink


  • Grade 1

  • N4 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • 12 years' experience within a printing industry or in a similar operational role

  • Principles of production

  • Computer literacy
