    Digital Arts is recruiting for a Lecturer in Interactive and Playful media.
    A suitable candidate should have a keen interest in interactive and playful media. Focus on a South African context is recommended. Theories of play and interaction form a core component of the teaching and research duties required for the post. Experience in creative research would be a distinct advantage.

    Qualifications and Experience: *An MA in a relevant field.*A PhD, or progress toward a PhD in a relevant field, would be a distinct advantage.*Applicants should have substantial teaching or industry experience.*Evidence of supervision of MA and Hons will be an advantage.*Evidence of research, creative practice, relevant industry experience, and a public profile in the games / digital arts field would also be a distinct advantage.

    A suitable candidate should have experience in teaching, creative practice, and/or research in the following areas: *Analogue and/or Digital Game studies*Analogue and/or Digital Game production*Interactive storytelling*Interactive art Duties: *Teaching in the department as appropriate. (Courses may include, but are not limited to, Analogue Game Design, Writing and Interactivity, and/or Digital Art Theory.)*Assist in managing departmental and collaborative projects across disciplines. *Supervision of Honours and Masters students. *Assist with departmental administration and portfolios.*Research outputs - publications, conference attendance, etc. Detailed DescriptionJob RequirementsAdditional Details
