Technical Support (Tier 1)


Reporting to:
Technical Support Manager


Job Purpose:

Clear Access is a full-service Internet Service Provider (ISP). We design, implement, manage, and maintain business and residential connectivity solutions.


Technical Support is the first point of contact for all customer incidents and service requests. The role of a Technical Support (Tier 1) Representative is to provide first-line support for all our residential and business clients. Technical Support is responsible for Logging the request and to assist the client to the best of his/her ability and meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands.


Responsibilities:

To assist in the installation of client routers.

To assist all our clients with logging any IT related incidents when called upon.

To assist all our clients telephonically or remotely with connectivity issues.

Escalate any unresolved queries to higher level support.

To maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers queries are resolved with urgency.

Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical clients.

To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.

Be willing to attend internal training as necessary to keep up to date with the latest technology and internal system processes

To be a highly motivated team player.

Will be required to work shifts.

Any other duties that may be required by Clear Access.


Requirements:

Grade 12

A+, N+, will be beneficial but not a requirement

Any other IT qualifications will be beneficial but not a requirement.

Own Car / Drivers licence


Remuneration:

Market related, negotiable on experience
